Palms to Pines is having a Hands-on Suture Workshop
At Cal Poly, Pomona
There will be two sessions available (refreshments will be provided):
- Session 1 : 8:00 am to 11:30 am -
- Session 2 : 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm -
(There is a limit to 20 participants per session)
John M. Chrisler, BS, MsT, CST, the Instructor & Technical Director for Microsurgery Research Lab at Loma Linda University, is our speaker and instructor.
John will give a presentation on suture history, explain instruments and materials, tissue handling and healing concepts, and basic knot tying techniques.
Every participant will spend the workshop learning and performing suture patterns and knot tying techniques. Suture patterns will be practiced on food grade pig’s feet, no live animals will be used.

$20 / PTP members
$30 / non-PTP AALAS members
$20 / students (with proof of enrollment) includes 2011 PTP Student Membership
$35 / person to include 2011 PTP Individual Membership
Parking at Cal Poly is $5 per vehicle and must be purchased the day of the workshop. Permits may be purchased from machines in the parking lot or the Parking Services Kiosk.
