2011 Suture Workshop

Palms to Pines Branch will by hosting a Hands-on Suture Techniques Workshop to be held at Cal Poly Pomona on Wednesday, September 14, 2011.
This is the same workshop used to instruct medical students proper suture / instrument handling techniques including basic knot tying techniques, suture patterns, tissue handling, and healing concepts.
Both workshop sessions are FULL. Please send an email to membership@ptpaalas.org to get on a wait list. Please indicate your name, a contact phone number and email and which session you would like to attend.

Sheep Handling Workshop

The Palms to Pines Branch AALAS will be hosting a Sheep Handling Workshop on May 21, 2011, beginning at 8:30 AM in Riverside. Attendance is limited to 14 people.
If you would like to learn a little bit more about how to handle sheep, this workshop will provide you with a hands-on opportunity to learn and practice some fairly common handling practices.

Whale Watching with Newport Landing

UPDATE: Due to the weather forecast for February 26, 2011, of a high chance of rain and winds, the whale watching planning committee decided to postpone our trip until March 12th. Hopefully, we will have better weather on that weekend. Please sign up by March 7th if you would like to attend.
